Our mission: educating, informing, and sharing knowledge that allows our members to create and maintain the optimum healthcare physical environment.
Our mission
HISHE is a personal membership organization devoted to professionals who design, build, maintain, and operate hospitals and other healthcare facilities. HISHE members include healthcare facility managers, engineers, architects, designers, constructors, and others. Our objective is to encourage and assist the membership in the development of their professional knowledge and competence in the field of healthcare engineering through pertinent educational seminars, conferences, and association and to provide a medium for the exchange of personal experience as well as the distribution of relevant reference documents and codes relative to the Facilities Management field.
We are now an affiliated chapter of the national organization, the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). The affiliated chapters serve as the catalyst for change on the local level. The chapters provide an organized structure at the local and/or state level for ASHE members and others in the field of healthcare facility management.
